Dear Adventurer
It's been a busy couple of months for me with trips across the Channel on luxury French ice-breaker Le Commandant Charcot and a week's reccee in the Maldives with
the family. The trips could not have been more different but illustrate
rather well the diversity of what we offer. More details will follow in
our next newsletter.

MALDIVIAN MAGIC
At a time when we need rest and repair and a cost of living price fighter, Makunudu
is that original island of calm, an emotional escape where you can
experience old time Maldives affordably. My sons declared the island 'insane', my husband was captivated and we had the most incredible week.
Why Makunudu?
- The island time forgot. Rare to find, one off, Maldives gem
- Authentic Maldives as it used to be before 5* #influence-za arrived
- Real sense of place
- “What we consider the hidden gem of the Maldives.”
- “There’s nothing else quite like Makunudu.” – Senior Maldives Product Manager who has stayed on 65 islands
- Stands out from a sea of 5 star sameness
- Affordable price fighter, prices starting at £180 per person per night full board
- Cheaper than going to Majorca
- Only 36 villas, privately owned
- Excellent house reef
- No night time light pollution
- 50 mins by boat, North Male Atoll
- Sanderson Phillips Health & Safety - Green Flag Approved
When:
December to March is deemed high season with better weather but rates
are higher. We travelled in July and had one short rain shower all week
and temperatures a constant 29 - 31C.
Wows: Swimming with
turtles, reef sharks and pygmy rays.Only 50 mins by speedboat from the
airport. Seemless transfer and we even encountered a pod of over 100
dolphins during the journey - an added bonus!
Price guide: From £2,500 per person including international British Airways direct flights from London Heathrow for a week
Bonus: New 30% saving off room rates for bookings made before 31 July 2023.
