MARCH 2023

Dear Adventurer
I'm off next month on a three day Seminar at Sea aboard the luxury French ice-breaker Le Commandant Charcot. An interesting option for a luxury expedition ship in the polar regions. Meantime, this month, I've cherry-picked just a few of  the extensive range of locations where we have planned trips for our adventurous clients. If you would like a trip of a lifetime or a simple holiday with a difference, please do get in touch.

EGYPT- AGATHA CHRISTIE STYLE
Without doubt, the best way to explore the treasures of Egypt is in Agatha Christie style on the Nile. By felucca, you will visit Elephantine Island and Kitchener’s Island — a botanical garden filled with exotic plants and trees. Join  a Nile cruise beginning or ending at Luxor, one of Egypt’s greatest destinations, where for centuries people have visited the temples in the Valley of the Kings and the Valley of Queens. This tailor-made itinerary stops and starts in Cairo to give you plenty of opportunity to see the Pyramids and has a fascinating side trip to Abu Simbel and Alexandria. Ask Fiona to see our suggested tailor-made itinerary.
CENTRAL ASIA - KYRGYZSTAN and UZBEKISTAN
Central Asia is in vogue! It's official!  Why not make 2023 the year you plan your visit? The wild Kyrgyz nature and the ancient history of the Great Silk Road are well represented in our suggested tailor-made itinerary. Join us to see stunning snowy peaks, high alpine meadows, broad grassland filled with fragrant flowers, wild mountain rivers, and serene mirrored lakes scattered among the tall peaks. This is a special off-the-beaten-track experience that will remain in your heart forever. A week or so combines and contrasts well with the glittering treasures of Uzbekistan. Ask to see our suggested 13 day Treasures of Kyrgyzstan and 11 day Classic Uzbekistan. We can combine the two into a nice 2-3 week holiday.

Everything I have heard about the beauty of Samarkand is true – except it is more beautiful than I could have imagined. Alexander the Great, 329 BC.

Mr C McGlynn and Family
Egypt:  December 2022

We both thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and thought that your efficiency on booking the internal flights, hotels and guided trips was excellent. The time we spent on the Pandaw vessel  - a true trip of a lifetime.  The hotel in Chiang Rai was particularly lovely being on the river front - we took a long boat to see elephants. Local reps were excellent, particularly in Singapore.

Mr & Mrs G Jessel
Laos Mekong Expedition: February 2023
It was a thoroughly enjoyable trip. Thank you for arranging it for us. Playa Cativo wins hands-down on location - a beautiful setting on the edge of the Gulf looking across to the Osa Peninsula. We walked and hiked in the forest, daily, spotting birdlife and monkeys. At Pacuare Lodge we greatly enjoyed the ziplining. It had the best restaurant of the trip.
