I don't know if you know but in recent years Iceland has become quite famous for its spectacular fireworks on New Year's Eve! Fireworks are only sold by the Icelandic Search and Rescue Teams, which make them an important source of income to finance their work. Considering that Reykjavik has a population of 200.000 people this is pretty impressive:
